Medway and Maidstone Ear Syringing is committed to protecting your privacy when dealing with your personal information. This privacy policy aims to give you information on how MMES collects, uses and holds your data.
We will collect data from you via telephone calls, emails, our consent form, face to face during a consultation or from your feedback. We may also collect data from a family member or someone acting on your behalf.
In order to provide you with the very best care we will ask for your name, date of birth, address, email address and phone number. We may also collect information about your GP, ear symptoms, medical history, current medications and allergies.
Your paper records and electronic records will be securely stored and only accessed by Medway and Maidstone Ear Syringing. In line with government guidelines we will retain your records for seven years. They will then be reviewed and destroyed if no serious incident has occurred.
We will only share your information with your consent where there is a clinical need such as a referral to your G.P. We will not disclose any of your personal or health information to third parties unless there are circumstances such as when the health and safety of others is at risk or where current legislation permits or requires.
We may use your personal information to send you marketing by post, by phone, through social media or by email.
